## Morrissey - *Our Frank* ## Steven Patrick Morrissey (referred to only as Morrissey) is a legendary singer and songwriter who grew up in Manchester, England. He came to fame in the '80s during his time as the front man for ***The Smiths***, though after the band's breakup, he arguably found more success as a solo artist. He has been releasing music since the late '80s on his own, though he had a bit of a break from 1997-2004. ######
[Listen to *Our Frank* by **Morrissey** here.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkqVB8ci1Wc)
## This song is the opening track from his 1991 album ***Kill Uncle***, and is one of my favorite's. I have always been a pretty massive **Smiths** fan, but it took me a while to get into his solo stuff. It is at times a bit more straightforward pop-rock in structure, whereas the **Smiths**strove to stand out from the pop of their time, but I've grown to really love all of his discography. The production is also pretty amazing, stuff from the early '90s often has the same sort of timbre, but this song (and album) feel much more unique. ## Enjoy today's song!
