## Yes - *Roundabout*

## Yes are a legendary
Prog Rock band, formed in London in 1968.  They began as a cover band, which is crazy to think how far they came in just a few years.  Over their career, they have had TONS of member changes, something like 15-20 people have come and gone from the band.  Their originality and high level of musical talent made for an amazing, original band, who definitely have influenced LOTS of other genres of music, including metal, experimental, and jazz.

## This song is probably
their best-known track, and it comes from their fourth studio album, ***Fragile*** released in 1971.  From the opening of the song, you can tell they were interested doing original things, with the use of a backwards piano (which later would become a sort of standard in music production).  The guitar lines are really detailed and complex, as is the bass, especially in the Chorus.  The full version of the song (not the radio-edit) has some killer drum solo parts, where they incorporate timbales, claves, triangles, and various other random percussion.
