# <center><b>Fugazi</b> - <i>Break</i></center>

Dischord band, perhaps THE D.C. Dischord band, <b>Fugazi</b>.  I grew up a massive fan of <b>Minor Threat</b>; when I first found them at 12 or 13, they changed my life and absolutely influenced all my musical tastes from then on.  Eventually, I found out that Ian MacKaye had a few other bands after that, the most influential and important of which was <b>Fugazi</b>, though I didn't really come to appreciate why they were so important until my 20s.  They created a sound entirely their own, and pushed the world of hardcore/post-hardcore into an entirely new space, influencing probably 1000s of bands over the last 3.5 decades.  It's hard for me to pick any favorites from them, whether songs or albums, though this tune would be in a top 10 list for sure.  It's the opening track on their 1998 album <i>End Hits</i>, which I don't think overall is a favorite album but, it has some amazing individual tracks throughout for sure. I recommend checking out their discography as a whole, frankly, it's well worth the time.</div>
