## I hadn't ever really played with
<div class="text-justify">the Microcosm pedal's 'phrase looper' until recently, after watching a few videos to get the basics down. I still am not entirely sure of what I was doing, and ran into a few points where I didn't know if I was recording or not, so I need to read the manual and see what the various colored lights mean and symbolized, but, this first attempt wound being pretty interesting. I wound up with a pretty cool cloud of sounds, all guitar loops played through a few different Microcosm presets. I also reversed a few, dubbed more, un-reversed the originals thereby reversing the new dubs. Overall, not the most intentional thing, but I like the possibilities for sure. The drums are just a kick and snare from the Digitakt (previous idea, Song 38), which I added just to make sure things were recording quantized to the beat, and that slowing/speeding up the loop was working properly. I realized after the Digitakt was sidechaining everything so the kick was cutting through, which was another cool accidental effect.</div>
