######
Screenshot of the whole track.
## This is another super wild noisey, weird one. I wanted to write another short song, something super fast and weird, and I think I succeeded on that front haha. There are only 6 tracks here, really 5 excluded the little waterdrop build up thing in Track 4. Initially the drum beat was a lot slower, but I wound up doubling the speed, and it kind of turned into a grind song, which is awesome. ######
[Listen to TOXIC HORDE OF LOCUSTS here.](https://soundcloud.com/grapthar2/toxic-horde-of-locusts)
## First up is the drums, which are Track 1. It sounds like a blast beat, although as I said above, it wasn't initially going to be a super fast, crazy thing. It was actually a weird kind of polyrhythm thing, but when I doubled the speed, it wound up sounding way more intense, so I wrote the instruments around it. Because of the fast, crazy beat, I decided to add the noisey synth stuff, which kind of reminded me of **The Locust**, hence the title. ######
Tracks 2 and 3, described below.
## Track 2 was the first instrument I did, which is just a low buzzy synth, sort of has a throat-singing kind of effect to it. This just plays whole notes, starting on C, down to Bnatural, up to C#, then back down to B before repeating. It does this 2x, then we have the 1 measure break, and it repeats 2 more times. Track 3 adds some more "harmony" and noise, playing minor 2nd intervals, starting on C(C#), then G(G#), F(F#) and then B(C). These are whole notes too, so they only change once per measure. In the 1 measure break, this instrument just plays F/F#, with a weird staccato rhythm. #####
[Listen to TOXIC HORDE OF LOCUSTS here.](https://soundcloud.com/grapthar2/toxic-horde-of-locusts)
## Track 4 is just a little water drop tone that ascends up, moving us into the break, and the end of the song. Track 5 is the last unique instrument, which is a heavy bass synth. If the notes are played legato, it bends to the following note, and when staccato, they just play the single note. So I made a wild, sort of random chromatic riff, parts of which are legato, and parts are not, so it bends and buzzes all over the place, making things constantly weirder and weirder. Track 6 is just a mirror of Track 5 note wise, except played on a grainy synth with a lot of reverb. This instrument is pretty quiet, just sort of fills in the sides of the track a little more and makes everything a little more full. ######
Track 5, as describe above.
# That's it for this one! Just a short, crazy one for you guys!
