"play is the highest form of research "Albert Einstein As much as I agree play is crucial to the development of a child to a well rounded person I worry that our nation had not make playing safe for most kids. Many times I see them playing on the street .In first world, maybe they have skating rink for teenage kids like in the picture above. The fact that they do that in main streets with no head gear or knee caps is disturbing. Sidewalks in many Asian countries had been used by peddlers but also they had been used by kids as playground. It delights my heart that games such as this of my childhood are passed on to the younger generation but at careful perusal you'd notice they're using plastic ropes rather than rubber .For those unfamiliar to this game its called "Chinese garter".Devoid of elasticity it surely can harm anyone and again what caused me to panic is theyre not mindful they could lost balance hit their head on strong cement or get bump by a moving car. As much as I am childless, I wish our government would put budget on coming up with child friendly zone where they can play and explore the world around them. There is so much value in interactive plays like this that cannot be set aside for lack of budget.I for one don't want to see those kids obese and war freak from all the war games they play on computers simply because their parents think being indoor that way is better than elsewhere for lack of childproof play zones they freely can go to. I end my ranting with a small wish that we afford our young ones they care they deserve.I borrow the words of James L Hymes Jr. "play builds this kind of of free and easy try it out do it yourself character that our future needs ".Lets encourage play by putting infrastructure for that Till next post, Ayn
