You might wonder if these pictures are from some 10th century story based movie, NO, these were taken from Capital City of Nepal, LATE 2015 EARLY 2016.

This happened like after 6 months of that devastating earthquake of 2015 that shook Nepal.

Nepal government had to sell firewood for public use because we had no fuel in market. Imagine, today, in the capital city of a country, people from all level irrespective of their background, lining up to buy firewood so that they can actually cook and eat . Forget about gas for vehicles. We will talk about vehicles later on.

A happy man, who just got his part of firewood, he should be age of my father, Looks from a decent family background as well, its not that he cannot afford to buy fuel to cook, it is that government has no supply of any kind of fuel. [image taken from local newspaper]

Yeah, now lets get to gas and vehicles. No gas even for ambulance and emergency vehicles. Corrupt political leaders however had enough fuel for their vehicles and security. Here was how it looked. It was impossible to catch a public transport. Whoever had private vehicles, No fuel to use private vehicles as well so no luck anyway.

When we were just starting to recover from that deadly earthquake, our corrupt political leaders and India (only supplier of fuel for Nepal) imposed something like this on us.

Black Market was on the rise . Everything cost double then the normal price. imagine no fuel to import things inside Kathmandu valley. Roads were empty. on the top of that, because of overload, we had to face power cuts, long one, like We faced 3 days long continuous power cut in my area. It was same on the others parts of the Kathmandu valley as well.

Now imagine a life, without a home, home was taken down by earthquake, no fuel, no gas, black market, everything costs double... no medicine.. nothing is coming inside the valley.. so basically no nothing..whatever we had, we needed to pay double for it. And this was in 2015/16 in the capital city of Nepal.

Moreover, All the schools and colleges were totally closed for about 2 months inside the capital. Situation on the Bordering area(Nepal/India) were even worse where almost all schools and colleges were shut for about 6 months, HELL YEA 6 months, children couldn't go to school because those leaders for some political demands had put on obstructions , a lot of them in the bordering area of Nepal/India.

Even though we have democracy it was of no good. In countries like Nepal, democracy doesn't mean anything. Corrupt leaders still take all the decisions and people have nothing in their hand. All the money from RED CROSS or donors are being misused by different authorities. Life in Nepal ever after that deadly earthquake was horrible and we do not even want to remember those days.
