Earlier this year, at the start of the summer me and my girlfriend decided to go camping somewhere. Fortunately, it didn't take a lot of thinking about where to go because I had already a place in mind that I found on Google Maps in winter. The place is called Veskijärve and is located in northwest Estonia. Several different natural features can be found there, a lake, bogland, hilly sandy desert-like land and well not all is natural. There is also a sand quarry that is not active anymore. The camping site was right next to the lake named Veski Lake. It's always great to camp out somewhere at the waterside, another vibe.  Once we arrived it was already pretty late into the evening and without setting up anything we decided to go for a walk to not miss the sunset time.  <hr>  Here you can see a bit of bogland. We tried to go as close as possible but this wetland does not seem to have any trails or paths so we didn't get very far. The lighting really was beautiful. This has several colors, reddish areas and bright green trees. The golden light really brought out these colors very well.  <hr>  We moved a bit further and found some sandy roads. Well, I don't know if a road is a good word for that but these were sandy paths but it looks like some people drive something on these paths. I really liked the hilly landscape and gorgeous views with this light.  <hr>  <hr>  <hr>  If I'm correct then the place does not have many trees due to huge wildfires that happened in the area some time ago. Fires got rid of most of the trees and the sandy ground does not exactly promote a new growth in this place.  <hr>  <hr>  <hr>  <hr>  <hr>  It was time to go back. The sun was starting to go away and we wanted to set up our camping stuff while it was still bright outside. We didn't have a tent though, we decided to sleep in the car this time. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the car setup and how we made the bed there.  The next morning we decided to have a look at the quarry. We drove about a kilometer to reach it from the camping site. We made a short walk around the areas to see what there was to see.  A lot of sand and sandy hills pretty much. I am not a fan of taking photos in the mid-day light but I wanted to capture this place just a bit.  From a sandy hill, we had another view of the lake and surrounding areas.  <hr>  <hr>  That's pretty much it. A great secluded place to go camping and see the varied nature Veskijärve offers. In fact, this place was so secluded and away from anything that my girlfriend got scared of the night sounds lol.
