Hiking the Rahkjärve Bog
Going back to the springtime for a change. Back in the beginning of March, I drove to central Estonia to take a hike in the bog I had never been to before, the Rahkjärve Bog. The weather on that day was not that good or nice, but I wanted to spend time outdoors.

There are several different lakes and a loop trail that I thought I would take.
This is the first lake I walked to on my path. The name of the Lake is Suur Kaksikjärv. Yeah, try to pronounce it if you are not Estonian 😅.

The lakes were still covered with ice, but it was a very warm day for an early spring, about 10 degrees C so the ice was melting fast.

You can see a small dock that has seen better days. It's mostly sunken to the bottom now.

Here starts the main bog wooden trail, which goes in a very straight line.

I reached to another lake called Rahkjärv and decided to make some food there on the spot. I stayed there for quite while and at some point noticed that Im not going to make it to walk the whole loop trail because it will get dark.

I will go back there at some point to walk the whole loop trail because it looks really nice but on that day I had to start to make my way back the same way I came from. The lighting got really reddish when the sun went down. Here are some final shots I took. I did not make the photos look redder. This is how the scenery looked in reality, as you see here in the photos.
