The little avocado tree that could...
Hi. Welcome to my greenery channel!

Today I have some photos of my avocado tree which is about 2 years old now.

![IMG_20220915_184201.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmaSAp9XKzsFZw6bUDY6ZYRqVYPFwWckm62wCLQSUMTWRN/IMG_20220915_184201.jpg)

It started out as a seed that never grew then I forgot about it. I later cleaned out the pot and found that under all that dirt was a root system and a dried up sprout.

It was completely dried out. But, with a little bit of faith, I put it in a pot with new dirt and watered it. Then I waited.

Now, as the first photo shows, it is starting to develop bark at the lower part of the stem. I keep increasing the size of the pot, it's in its third pot now, and it's nearly 5 ft tall which is a miracle in itself.

This plant has never had direct sunlight. It just lives near a window that faces south. No sun ever gets in. Will it bear fruit?
