Hello People! Hello World! How are all of you doing? I hope life's been kind lately, if not I hope this post brings you a bit of light. So get comfy and enjoy the read. This day, just the three of us, my husband, our son, and I, heading to Hatta for a day of adventure. We're very happy because our son and his wife have agreed to commit a day to their parents. While his wife is in Abu Dhabi, hanging out with her father, our son opts to be with us. It melts our hearts more than words can say. Just having him beside us, filled with gratitude and happiness, knowing that these moments are what truly matter. This kind of closeness, real, present, and uninterrupted isn't easy to find in everyday life. The day wasn't just about seeing a new place. It was about being together with each other again. Our first stop was Hatta Dam. The dam was purely wonderful. It was a kind of extreme turquoise that made you stop and stare. Even though the heat was fierce, it didn't stop us from viewing every corner and catching memories with our favorite selfies. Surrounded by spiked mountain hills, it looks almost fancy. We walked around and admired the amazing view. Stunning panoramic peaks, clear blue water, and scenic sights. The dam was a cool escape from the bustle and hustle of city life. The silence of the water of Hatta Dam was enchanting. This quiet calm creates a soothing atmosphere, inviting you to pause, breathe and simply listen to the silence that says everything. The rugged mountains that surround Hatta Dam stand like ancient guardians. Their earthly tones shades of brown, gray, and dusty orange contrast beautifully with the calm surface of the dam. The silence of the water was broken only by the waves of a kayak, paddle boating, and the whispers of the wind. The dam becomes a reserve, quiet, strong, and standing. Hatta Dam was built to utilize and store water in the mountainous region of Hatta. It was in the early 1990s as part of a water supply and flood control project. It makes a good source of water for local agriculture and residents. Today the dam not only helps sustainable water management but also brings visitors for its scenic view and some recreational outdoor activities. Our next stop was the Hatta Heritage Village. As we walked into the village, we were immediately shifted back in time, where the hushed sounds of the past echoed through the thin passage and age-old walls. The simple charm of the old structures, rough walls, and wooden doors gave us a brief look of how life once was in the mountainous region. Walking through the village felt like browsing through the pages of history. Through our interest, we got into one of the structures. The area was small and humble. The walls were built of rough stone and the ceilings were formed from palm trunks and dried fronds deeply secured and knitted to keep out the sun. The air was cool and homely carrying the smell of time and tradition. We kept on roaming the Heritage Village, the ambiance was so quiet that it felt like a soft hush had cleared over the entire village. Strolling through the narrow pathway, some locals greeted us with warm smiles. We found ourselves absorbed in the rhythm of a culture protected through generations. The silent allure of the village reminds us of the beauty in simplicity and richness of heritage. The Hatta Heritage Village lies comfortably in the heart of the Hajar Mountains the houses were originally built from materials such as mud, palm tree trunks and fronts, reeds, and stone. We climbed up to the Hatta Watchtower, an old stone fort that peacefully overlooks the rugged beauty of the Hajar Mountains. The track was a bit steep, but turning through the rocky train brought a sense of excitement and amazement. As we reached the top, seeing the wide view took our breath away. Standing there surrounded by history and nature. Then a wide smile, we snapped a photo of the three of us. Capturing not just our faces but the joy, the adventure, and the memory of that beautiful day.
