I know this is a month old now, but WOW Sam! You wove each layer together here, just so, until we understand this terrible fortress that has been built... Not just in cassie's mind, where she is trying her best to keep going... but also around both characters ability to heal from the situation. As you let the walls down, we are forced to exhale.
