...  last time someone hurt you that you were like, "Wow, thanks", or the last time you failed hard and saw it as a good thing?

Though it's hard to see it in the moment, it's those hits you take in life that shape your character and build perseverance. Nothing worthwhile in life comes easily. To build a bridge you have to cut down trees. To build muscle you have to literally stress your muscles to the point of creating micro-tears. For a tree to grow tall and bear fruit it has to weather some Winters. Sorry, I like analogies but you get the idea. 😜

What's more important than adversity itself is how you respond to it. You can either let it make you or break you. Make you bitter or better. Obviously it's not easy to be stoked when something is making your life painful or difficult. I'm definitely not the greatest at it, but I'm learning to appreciate the scars. To look back at the losses and see what I gained.

Trust me, I know the struggle is real. Just thought I'd encourage you to try finding the good in whatever it is you're going through. You will get through this and it's going to make you stronger.


Spent yesterday climbing a ridge trail called Wiliwilinui that goes through the rainforest.
