We all know what Arcade Colony as a platform is and what is being build here. Incase not then let me tell you that [Arcade Colony](https://www.arcadecolony.com/) is a platform that is augmenting Web2 games into Web3. And to name a few games featured on this platform they are [MOON KARTS,](https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/) [GENESIS LEAGUE GOALS](https://goals.genesisleaguesports.com/) and there are many others that are being built and are in their beta stage. In this post, I would be talking about SCRIPT Token & the different utility it provides along with how can one easily get/buy #SCRIPT tokens. But before I get there it is important to know that SCRIPT token is pegged to product in Arcade Colony and it can be acquired by only burning COLONY tokens for a set amount of SCRIPT tokens based on market conditions. Here is the snapshot taken from the [Arcade Colony App](https://arcadecolony.com/token/script/get); where you can see that one would need to burn around 4K+ #COLONY tokens to get 1 #SCRIPT token.

### SCRIPT Token & Utility - How to get SCRIPT Tokens?

Yes, its that simple to have #SCRIPT tokens. Burn #COLONY to get #SCRIPT at first place. Else you can buy the token from Hive-engine with SWAP.HIVE. And right now in the internal market you can get 1 SCRIPT token by shedding around 1.8+ #HIVE. Now lets look at some numbers tied to the #SCRIPT token which is as follows::

**Total Supply: 542,350
Total Liquid: 527,174
Total Staked: 15,177**

Looks like there is less staking of SCRIPT at the moment. Approximately 2.80% of the total supply is staked and I expect to have this staked number go higher in near future if more rewards starts to pour in tied to staking. Now that we have some background about what SCRIPT token is all about and numbers associated to it. Lets deep dive into the utility that this token provides. 

### SCRIPT Utility

As far as I can see #SCRIPT token is going to be like #DEC token which is pegged to a dollar in Splinterlands game. And if you are a Splinterlands game player you might being knowing how important it is to #hodl DEC. The same is being applied with the SCRIPT token as it will have several primary uses within the Arcade Colony ecosystem overall. Lets see some of the utilities currently it provides which are and not limited to the ones highlighted. 

- Buy and sell assets from in-game shops

- Buy, sell, and rent NFTs on the Arcade Colony Marketplace

- There will be more use cases coming and they will be built into each game 

So what is my strategy here for the #SCRIPT token? Lets talk about it as well before I end this post. I will be very honest here right now I do not #hodl SCRIPT tokens but the plan is to start accumulating it. But how do I go about it? Well the plan is to take my rewards from the #COLONY staking right now I have 103K+ COLONY tokens staked and every week I claim those rewards. Until now I was staking back the tokens to the staking pool but now onwards I plan to accumulate 50% of the COLONY tokens and that I would be burning it for SCRIPT. So that is the interim plan and I will be also looking to the internal market to buy SCRIPT via my passive income streams that I have built here on the HIVE Blockchain. Lets see how this plan works out in coming months and then I will report back the progress made with the status of SCRIPT and COLNOY tokens in my wallet.
