# Looking for a sexy subject for my Composition <div class="pull-left"> <p>A few weeks back I went on one of the tiny meet-ups with a hand full of talented Light Painters at the Airfield Schoenwalde. @Lichtkunstfoto, @stepko, and @candelart you also get to see around here. So I did not join with big ambition so I was looking for some small inspiration and some easy shots not to make it complicated. So when I saw the tire I was immediately in on that one. I thought that can't be that complicated. In my head, I already saw the Camera Rotation. </p> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <p>Vor in paar Wochen war ich ja zum "allerletzten Mal" in Schönwalde mit @Lichtkunstfoto, @stepko, and @candelart und noch ein paar anderen. Ich bin da nicht mit grßen Erwartungen order Ambitionen angereist und dachte ich werdem al ein zwei kleine Light Paintings machen. Nix großes. Naja und dann sah ich den kleinen Reifen da rumstehen. Ok gebongt den werde ich wohl auch "Drehen". In meinem Kopf war die Kamere Rotation schon gebongt. Naja und so kams dann auch. </p> </div>  ## The Spot <div class="pull-left"> <p>The cool thing is when you have a proper permit you can simply drive up just outside the hangar. We parked right there. I thought while everyone else is busy Light Painting the Audi TT (sure you will see images of that one soon) I can try a few quick light paintings. Like Sven's car (see below). One of my subjects for the night was the tire that was sitting right in the center of one of the old hangars. Right in the middle.</p> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <p>Das Coole ist, wenn man die entsprechenden Genehmigung hat, kann man direkt vor den Hangar fahrenund gleich da parken. Ich dachte, während alle anderen mit dem Audi TT beschäftigt sind, kann ich ein paar schnelle Light Paintings ausprobieren. Wie Svens Auto (siehe unten). Eines meiner Ideen / Themen für die Nacht war der Reifen, der genau in der Mitte eines der alten Hangars saß. Genau in der Mitte.</p> </div>   <div class="pull-left"> <p>Look at this f..ing thing sitting there to be Light Painted. Screaming for some attention and Light. I'll take care of you - no worries.</p> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <p>Schaut euch das verdammte Ding an, sitzt quasi da, um mit Licht bemalt zu werden. Schreit nach etwas Aufmerksamkeit und Licht. Kannste haben. </p> </div>  <div class="pull-left"> <p>At first, just test how the tire behaves with the light. Dark objects reflect less light but when it's wet there will be shiny edges and some other reflections one may not anticipate. So let's test first - then rotate.</p> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <p>Alls erstas natürlich einfacher Beleuchtungstest. Mal sehen, wie sich der Reifen mit dem Licht verhält. Dunkle Objekte reflektieren weniger Licht, aber wenn es nass ist, gibt es glänzende Kanten und einige andere Reflexionen, die man vielleicht nicht erwartet. Also erstmal testen - dann rotieren. </p> </div>   <div class="pull-left"> <p>That was not super simple. I did have to look out for the appropriate angle not to get awkward reflections on the tire. Once that was all good I rotated the camera during the exposure of 147 seconds in 12 equal steps, while the camera was set to ISO 100 and the Laowa 12mm F2.8 Zero D Lens was dialed in on F11. Thats what you see in the featured Light Painting image on top!</p> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <p>Das war nicht ganz einfach. Allerdings musste ich auf den richtigen Winkel achten, um keine unangenehmen Reflexionen auf dem Reifen zu bekommen. Dann hatte ich ja alles was ich braucht und es ging los, drehte ich die Kamera während der Belichtung in 12 Schritten was 147 Sekundendauerte. Die Kamera war auf ISO 100 eingestellt und das Laowa 12 mm F2,8 Zero D-Objektiv auf F11 eingestellt war.</p> </div>  <div class="pull-left"> <p>Oh wow what's that cool Graffiti? Everyone is focused on that Audi inside the Hangar and I found this old Camry to light up. </p> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <p>Ops doch noch schnell was anderes gemacht. Kleine Überraschung für Sven.
