Assalamu Alaikum! How are you? Hopefully, you are having a fantastic day! I am also fine, Alhamdulillah. And, Welcome to my post! I am a doctor. Besides, getting a monthly salary, I am getting something else from my dealings with the patients. Constant reminders!! Their illnesses remind me how blessed I am! Their stories increase my gratefulness/gratitude to my Creator!  <center>Reminder 15 July 2022 Friday</center> Have you heard of a country, named Burkina Faso? I didn't hear the name before. So, I had to look up Google to find out the country. It is a country in West Africa in between Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana and Ivory Coast. How interesting! I know all the names of surrounding the countries but I heard the name Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 for the first time. Looks like the people of the country are called Burkianbe! How do I know that? It is not from Google, from my work computer. Yesterday one Burkinabe (a late 20s person from Burkina Faso) patient came to my chamber with an Omani. The day before yesterday he fell from the height and got hit on his back. Unfortunate guy! He fell on his back and fell directly on the concrete surface!! Following that he was having severe pain in his back. He was walking himself without any aid but obviously, he was in severe pain. He could not walk straight. He was having difficulties in sitting on the chair or standing up from it. I ordered an X-ray. Unfortunately, there was a fracture to one of the bones in his spine (to the first lumbar spine). I gave an injection to reduce his pain, prescribed some oral medicines and referred him to a higher centre to be consulted by an orthopaedic surgeon. --- I have never sustained a similar kind of injury in my life.
