Half A Million Ether Are Locked Due to Parity Bug
A bug was triggered accidentally by an individual that froze around half a million Ether. The user has accepted it that he or she had accidentally killed such a huge amount of Ether. It is not the first time that Ethereum community is facing such a big issue.

Library contract was turned into ordinary multi-signature wallet and user became owner of that wallet. User tried to fix it by deleting the code that caused the transfer of ownership but as the multi-signature wallets depends on the library contract code so now it is almost impossible to access those half a million Ether stored as funds in multi-sig wallets.

Statement was released on Tuesday by Parity wallet providers that they have found the vulnerability in it. According to Parity, anyone with the assets in "multi-signature wallets" created after 20th of July may have suffered from this bug.

Parity is going to find a solution for this issue but according to most of the users only way to resolve this problem is hard fork. However it is too early to say that hard fork is only the possible way to recover funds.
