You Need to Settle Down!
Recently, I am hearing my friends telling me, "You are not getting any younger, so you need to settle down."
Having lived in 7 states during the past 42 years and 4 states in the past 3 years, I have a mixed feelings about my friend's advice.
I feel that sine I moved and lived in these states, I have a better idea of what type of environment I may want to settle down to live in the rest of my life.
I know, I prefer warmer climate and beautiful scenery of Hawaii and more choices of jobs and careers like Atlata, GA where I lived 1 year.
The cost of living is too high in Hawaii so even though I had a chance to move back there recently with my business friend wanting to partner up in a great business, I decided against it.
I have a place to live in Nebraska but, I can not stand the cold winters and remotness. Besides it would bring back some bad childhood momory of working too hard.
Presently, I am living in Roger, Arkansas where the cost of living is 3x less than Hawaii and just as much career opportunities as Honolulu, Chattanooga, TN or Atlanta, GA.
I could settle down and continue living here in AR after living here for 1 1\2 years.
Now that I started a new career here looks like I will need to try to settle down in AR but, I am itching to move on to another state to explore what else there are to offer me and to learn from on the mainland USA or other countries like Peru, Sweden, Thailand and more.
So, what does settling down means to you?
Would love to hear your view point.
Be Free Always, All Ways.
