After six hours of closure announcement, all tea shops in Dhaka University's Student-Teacher's Center (TSC) have been reopened. The administration has given the verbal permission to open the shop. Tea shops are closed in the TSC premises on Tuesday morning.

Talking to the tea stalls, it is known that on Monday night, the proctorial team members came here tonight (today) to open tea shops. They were barred when they opened the shop this morning. It is said, there can not be any more shop here.

When asked about the reason, the proctorial team did not say anything, said shopkeepers.

Asked about this, TMC director AM Mohiuzzaman said in the first light that he does not know about any such direction.

Professor AKM Golam Rabbani, the Proctor of the university, said in the first light, there is no separate instruction on TSC premises for tea shops. Low-quality tea and food are served in floating shops, which are a threat to public health. These are security and against public interest.

In the afternoon, news published in several media including the Prothom-alo online. Later, the proctorial team members came to TSC on two occasions. The shopkeepers started opening the shops with their permission.

Earlier, on October 17, a notification issued by the director of the TSC ordered the closure of TSC activities at 8:00 pm. The decision was severely criticized. Protested people from different levels including cultural workers. Dhaka University authorities withdrew the decision to set the time for serious criticism. Then verbally the effect of that notification was canceled.
