Gunmen attacked the military academy premises on Monday in Kabul, Afghanistan's capital today. At least two soldiers have been killed in the attack, AFP reported.

Defense Ministry spokesman Dowlat Waziri said that at least two soldiers were killed in gunfights with the attackers near the Marshall Fahim Military Academy. 10 people were injured. He said the attackers wanted to destroy the army.

Wajiri further said, a bomb carrying himself exploded. Another bomber was caught by our forces. The remaining three were killed. Another is under treatment.

Afghan security forces say the attackers could not go inside the military premises due to stringent security.

Officials say this attack on the army is near the academy. There were high officials.

Eyewitnesses told AFP that they had heard explosions and gunshots several times since dawn.

Security forces have blocked all roads in the area around the attack site.

In October last year, the explosion was carried out outside the military academy. It killed 15 military personnel.

Last Saturday a suicide blast was organized in Ambulance in Kabul. At least 100 people were killed in it. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

In the last one week in the country, several attacks have been launched. On January 20 night, some gunmen attacked Kabul's luxurious intercontinental hotel. It killed 40 people, including 14 foreigners. Then on January 24th Jalalabad organized a group of armed gunmen in the international donor organization Save the Children office in the city. Two of them were killed. The office was temporarily closed.
