I think steem as a platform for original content creator, who along with getting an audience for the particular genre/art, earn reputation( and eventually money ) out of it. The blockchain will have all the posts,comments and upvotes(even delete) as transactions making the tracking of the content-creator easy and fair. Moreover this will prevent plagiarism and pirated stuff being posted on the Steem.

The problem, what I see is, people sharing current prices of different cryptocurrencies without analysis or a story to it.
People publishing youtube videos, news articles almost as it is ( for exact articles will be caught by our Cheetah steembot). New thing I've seen recently is, people posting known stories and poems ( with proper attribution ) at regular interval ( every 30-60 minutes or so). And because they are creations of well-known authors, poets, they are obviously good and will get upvotes. 

Just by the SP the OP gets, I think this will tempt minnows to repost someone's content than put their time in creating something new! Just a thought!
