White Rabbit is a browser plug-in that recognizes when a user is consuming content, and then seamlessly rewards the content creators. White Rabbit can partner up with streaming sites to allow users to legally consume content from an endless menu. 

Here’s a look at how the company aims to be competitive as a business.

I’ll be analyzing whether White Rabbit presents an idea that holds plentiful potential and what would its barriers be. 

<center>**A. Strength**</center>
White Rabbit has several strengths. 
-	The product is being launched at a very timely moment. Many online content consumers have adjusted to paying for content they love thanks to years of awareness movements by creators. White Rabbit can see swift and easy adoption as it’s offering is widely accepted already. 

-	While White Rabbit is the first mover from the blockchain sphere, there are existing streaming platforms. White Rabbit may not itself be a paid streaming platform but its product offering is quite like one since it intends to offer a means of paying for content. White Rabbit can easily learn from the mistakes and successes of existing paid streaming sites and utilize that in its product. 

-	Given that White Rabbit intends to be based upon partnerships, it does not take any risk on its part. The risk of successful content curation is on its partners. If they fail due to poor content offering, White Rabbit does not face the blunt; however, if they successfully curate content, White Rabbit shares in their success.

<center>**B. Weakness**</center> 
White Rabbit is entering in an industry where there’s a good amount of established competition. There’s a number of major global sites and a exceedingly large number of regional sites that offer paid content. So, the competition in paid streaming is stiff. 

However, White Rabbit holds a major success point: unlike streaming sites, White Rabbit virtually has no limit on the content it allows its users to legally consume. Users that are already using paid streaming sites can adopt White Rabbit to supplement their streaming site memberships to legally consume content when their membership is not sufficient. 

The problem is that despite the virtues of this product, it needs to penetrate the market. It should be easy to bring on customers, but the marketing cost of a project with a global reach like this is quite high. And those marketing costs can eat out of the early budget. It’s important to note, though, that White Rabbit is heading into a market where it will be openly welcomed, since as much as 60% of streamers would prefer to pay for content they love. White Rabbit should see a strong and swift return on investment, which can then be reinvested to continue growth. 

<center>**C. Opportunity**</center> 
White Rabbit is a strong product because it not only relies on its competitive advantages, but also aims to fulfill market gaps to take advantage of easy opportunities. 

The movie and TV markets are absolutely massive and globalization, plus growth of middle class, are making the market only bigger. However, the industry loses billions of dollars each year due to piracy on streaming sites. However, a large portion of people utilize streaming sites merely due to the heavy convenience they offer and not to dodge an expense. In fact, they’d be willing to reward the creators—they are fans. 
There’s a clear gap that needs to be fulfilled and White Rabbit is offering a convenient and innovative solution to it. 

<center>**D. Threat**</center> 
Cryptocurrencies have hit global headlines and have become household dinner talk, but the fact remains that most people have never owned one and are unlikely to own one any time soon. The reasoning is that the concept of the blockchain mystifies too many people and there’s a bit of a learning curve to this technology, and most people are reluctant to invest time in learning about it. 

Given that White Rabbit is based off the blockchain and utilizes a token, it’d have to either penetrate the market or make the utilization of its token feel simple and familiar. 

By familiar, I mean people are adjusted to purchasing digital tokens with fiat currencies and then purchasing content through that; gift credit is a good example of that. The user interface for utilizing WRT needs to be **extremely** easy and the process of purchasing these tokens needs to be extremely easy. If these market needs are met, WRT will easily hit the streaming market with a revolutionary wave.
