A legislative proposal from Phil Christofanelli, a State Representative, is aiming to make Missouri a welcoming hub for mining of Bitcoin.

Is this initiative going to bolster the local community? And is it going to position Missouri alongside other states that are progressive in embracing cryptocurrency? It would be too early to say but this does look to be a positive thing for the crypto community out there. 


Filled with innovation, Christofanelli's bill takes a novel approach. Its intention is to handle Bitcoin miners in the same manner as any other energy industry participant.

According to him,

> “Our state should welcome this type of new and innovative currency into the marketplace. We just want asset miners treated like everybody else in the energy economy.”

While this legislative effort is underway, other regions of the United States are witnessing  significant growth in the cryptocurrency market.

A Bitcoin mining company, CleanSpark, has reportedly recently expanded its operations by acquiring three mining facilities in Mississippi costing them around $19.8 million.

This move demonstrates the resilience of the industry in the face of regulatory obstacles as well as its continuous commitment to innovation and growth.

Another also is reported to be investing around $333 million in a 1 gigawatt Bitcoin mining facility, demonstrating a considerable leap in capacity and infrastructure.

The development is deemed to create several jobs and also help in economic growth. This further demonstrates the industry's capacity to contribute positively to communities that are local.
