One Fat Source You MUST Avoid To Prevent Brain Damage (And Three Sources To Eat!)
One Fat Source You MUST Avoid To Prevent Brain Damage (And Three Sources To Eat!) By Martin Reily

When it comes to improving brain health, not enough can be said about the importance of a good diet.

If you aren’t eating the right foods on a day to day basis, this is really going to influence your overall brain performance and disease risk.

Sadly, most people don’t even realize this. They are so caught up in tracking calories for bodyweight purposes they forget to consider how their diet impacts their mental health.

Let me tell you, it can really play a role. If you want to set your brain up for optimal performance, it pays to watch your food intake.

Dietary fat is one key element of any good diet plan and is the area of focus here today. There is one particular fat that you must avoid at all costs.

Consider this fat the ‘danger zone’ as far as your mental health goes. Basically, eat it at your own risk.

Which fat am I talking about? Which fat is so critical to avoid?

Trans fat.

This fat is created by food manufacturing companies often for the reason of improving the taste or texture of the food they are making or to increase the overall shelf-life of the product. As you can imagine, doing both of these is clearly going to help increase the overall sell ability of the product, making the company more money.

But as far as improving your health goes? It’s a disaster. The fact is, trans fats are not needed by the body at all and are only going to increase your risk for conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.

They really must be avoided at all costs.

So where will you find these foods? Generally speaking, they’re most often found in foods that are processed in nature.

Deep fried foods, frozen foods, snack foods, granola bars, baked goods, cookies, and of the like.

These are all foods that you really should be avoiding anyway, but now you have even more reasons to avoid them.

If you hope to do your health and brain well, steer clear!

Which now brings me to a few fats that you should consider adding to your diet if health promotion is in your cards.

These fats include:

1.Avocado’s

2.Salmon

3.Nut butter

These fats are rich in the good fats – the fatty acids that will sharpen your brain, ward off Alzheimer’s disease, and help boost memory and cognitive processing speeds.

They’re also the good fats that will help prevent other diseases as well. All in all, you can’t go wrong with any of those three foods. Try and eat one at least daily to do your brain well.

Don’t overlook your nutrition plan and the impacts it has on your brain health.
Put the right diet in place and you’ll have a sharp and healthy brain for years to come.
