The Mediterranean has always been a popular destination for summer getaways and that is why Como is popular. In July, it reaches an average high of about 29 degrees centigrade, making it a very warm yet mild temperature. It has incredibly beautiful landscapes with the mountains cradling the lake on all sides, buildings ascending along the sides of the mountain with their distinct orange clay rooftops. These are very reminiscent of the kinds of villas that existed in the Roman times.  ~ Helga
