It's been a couple of months with these new times and they seem to be going pretty well. However! And it has been done. 😎 As expected we lost a few folks and gained some. We love the idea of *spreading the cake* around so much that we've decided to FOCUS on this initiative. We are still on the lookout for more curators to help **find great content** and give them the love they need! We have channels and bots set up (thanks @eonwarped ! ) in our private Helpie Discord server to make it super easy for you to submit posts to be Helpiecaked (yes, I've made it a verb). If you are someone who actively curates anyway, this may be the perfect little side job for you! [HERE's](https://steempeak.com/helpie/@helpie/new-helpie-token-hlpe-rewards-distribution) a post with all the info about how to get them and what to do with them... for now. 😎 <div class="pull-right">https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/helpie/euabXpg8-helpie20token.png</div> Currently, the witness team has the ability to help distribute tokens to regular users. This will become overwhelming for us soon (no doubt) and we will hopefully be creating (... @eonwarped) another bot that will help us to streamline the rewards. But for now, we cool. Last time we'd not decided about a vote weight for each HLPE token. For now, we've settled on 1% to keep everything easy. In the [HLPE Token Rewards Distribution](https://steempeak.com/helpie/@helpie/new-helpie-token-hlpe-rewards-distribution) post we explain exactly how many HLPEs you can get for what and how to use them. Right now, you can redeem your HLPEs for a % of an upvote from the @helpie account (up to 30%, subject to change), HODL your HLPEs, or share with others. There are future plans to offer other things for HLPEs, including, but not limited to electronic prizes, work trades, and STEEM/SBD. <center></center> ## How to access your HELPIE tokens (from last update, but pretty important) The easiest way to view, send and receive any steem-engine tokens is via the browser add-on called KEYCHAIN, created by Witness #1 on the STEEM blockchain, @yabapmatt. <center></center> ## <center>[KEYCHAIN- Chrome](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/steem-keychain/lkcjlnjfpbikmcmbachjpdbijejflpcm?hl=en) </center> ## <center>[KEYCHAIN- FireFox](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/steem-keychain/)</center> Not only are you able to easily deal with all your tokens, but KEYCHAIN stores multiple STEEM account passwords and keys for you. Do you have suggestions?*</center> <center>*Do reach out!*😍</center> <center></center> ## Technical Witnessy Updates As noted in the official blog [here](https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/denial-of-service-vulnerability-fix), there was a vulnerability fix released, and we applied it fairly quickly on 4/17 04:42 UTC. Very painless update involving building and restarting. In terms of other little services running, we have been running a Discord bot that is powering the @helpiecake curation above, and a service that monitors HLPE token transfers for redeeming upvotes on designated posts. *All my love, Eon.* 😘 <center></center> <center></center> <center>💛</center> <center></center> *Helpie is an invite-only community.
