What is this strange grief
that I am feeling
When I think about the time
and the world that used to be
around me, a  long time ago, 
So and so, go with the flow. 

It feels like decades, 
centuries, even millennia, no deal, 
so long ago that even the magic was real
We had no time to kill,
No will to steal, just feel
The change in the air
and despair!

I used to live in another time, 
I was sold on the idea
of another world, 
where people used to talk
laugh and live t
the moment, we spent
not even a second
thinking about the evil deeds, 
no feeds, no likes, 

No flakes, no stakes,
Nostalgia is just 
a feeling that makes me 
fuzzy and warm,
My childhood home,
The smell of oranges at Christmas, 
and a few other memories
that are only mine
and not many other people. 

Given long enough
I may remain the sole guardian
of the long-forgotten era,
Que sera, sera!
Like the song said, 
Soup in the bread,
swimming in the river, 
As my friend's dad
used his excavator
to dig us a big enough 
hole, so we can win
and jump in a river
as deep as our
knee-length.

The Lent, that
We used to keep
along with our grandparents
mere moments,
before the Easter feast,
and my mum
serving eight courses 
In less than one hour,
Sweet and sour, even the food
It tasted better back then
Or is it that I just
seen the world
through my child's eyes, 
We were spies
In the house of love,
Like the Lizard King,
We could do anything!

And now you know
Where we used to go
to listen to the music,
hunting cryptids 
In the moonlight, 
The fight was only
Inside the mind,
Unless you had 
An older brother
So no bother
will ever come to you.
