#2 Travel interview Series with @somethingrandom (travelers meet)
Hi everybody thanks for stopping by! I am very excited to share with you the second interview within; the interview series.

As we all know I love traveling and my goal is to use my blog to help create a one-stop spot for travel junkies to share tips, tricks and stories to help people around and create a trusted network of travelers.
Today I will share another interview with a travel minded Steemituser.
In the interviews I will discuss ask many questions travel related in order to learn more about fellow Steemers, Ready?!!

Who is @somethingrandom?
She joined the platform in March and shares with us her adventures being on the road and living out of suitcase. In 2016 she decided to sell everything and get on the road, ready to read her interview that will take you from Singapore to Australia and New Zealand all the way to Europe.

What is on your travel bucket list?
There are so many places I wanna go to that I don’t even know where to begin… Seriously, I can’t even list all of them. South Africa is near the top though. I’ve been to the US a few times, but I’ve yet to attend Burning Man, which is something I definitely want to do before I die. I also think it’ll be pretty cool to go to a football game during the World Cup.

Favorite destination?
Ah! What a question! You ask difficult questions, Haas. Maybe I’ll sound too PC, but I don’t think I can choose a favorite until I’ve been to every country in the world. I also believe that your experience of a place is affected by the people you travel with / meet over there. You could be in a boring city, but if you’re there with awesome people, even the dullest city will shine. Take the US for example. New York is unparalleled. There is nothing else like it. The vibe, the energy, and the people of that city are on another level. YET Los Angeles is the one that holds a special place in my heart, because of the connections I made there, and the things we did. Don’t even get me started on your country! I’ve been to 11 cities in the Netherlands, and I have great friends living in many of these cities. While I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEE Amsterdam, Tilburg has my heart.

First holiday alone?
Was to Australia! Actually most of my travelling was done alone. I think everyone should try travelling solo at least once in your life. You get to meet so many more new people than if you were travelling with someone. Having said that, after all these years of solo travel, nowadays I really look forward to travelling with friends lol. It’s the little things, like having someone look after your bags when you use the bathroom instead of dragging all your stuff into the tiny cubicle…having someone to talk to on a long bus ride…knowing you can go out late and have company walking home in the dark (yep, too many late nights walking home by myself, avoiding eye contact with the men passing by. Oooo like opening a can of worms - this is a whole ‘nother topic for female solo travelers)…

Overrated place?
Nope!

Upcoming trip?
Uh, I don’t know… I’ve been on the road for a year and a lot of my trips are unplanned. Will definitely be in the Netherlands for the next month or so. Then, South East Asia somewhere. Maybe Australia? Depending on finances, Croatia (I have friends who will be there that I can crash with)

Must have travel gadget?
A smartphone with data. For Google maps and keeping in touch with people (being a female solo traveler, personal safety is like breathing for me. Always be aware of your surroundings, make sure your phone has battery, at least one person who knows where you are at any time, etc)

Best food or restaurant?
Home cooked food is always the best! I’m lucky to be surrounded by good cooks.

Best spot in your own city?
Hahahhaahaha at any of my friends’ places in Singapore. Most of them are married now and have their own flat which is where I normally hang out when I go home for a visit.
