I came across this plant — the Great Mullein — while wandering through the streets of my village. It grows here every rainy season. It’s amazing how something so common carries such old stories with it. Long ago, people believed it protected them from evil spirits and they even called it Hag’s Taper because its tall shape looked like a natural torch.

Interestingly, Mullein has also been used for healing for centuries, especially for chest issues and inflammation. But today, for me, it was just a quiet, beautiful plant standing by the roadside, holding so much history without saying a word.

Here’s how it looked through my lens.
