Eleven years ago bitcoin wasn’t this prominent, even in recent times not all governmental bodies buy it’s idea as a digital currency. 
They look at as a threat to their economy, before the present bitcoin and crypto online craze. Bitcoin was mostly handled in dark web as a means of payment, because of it’s anonymous nature. 

In recent times the term bitcoin is literally directly at your face, with the publicity it has found and it’s use case it has definitely grown to what it is today. In a [conversation]( https://decrypt.co/92167/ray-dalio-bitcoin-crypto-get-too-much-attention) with Ray Dalio, who is the founder of Bridgewater associates says that Bitcoin is getting too much attention. He further explained that he’s not putting too much faith in it, even tho he currently holds a bag of it.

He thinks that some government will outlaw cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, which we have seen publications online as regards it implying that the market capitalization is too large.
Dalio is one of the globes wealthiest man who doesn’t find digital assets interesting as they say it is. He stated that we are now in an era were we have different types of money, seen the way Bitcoin is used as a medium of exchange and read as a value of wealth.

He spoke briefly on the coming elections in 2024 saying that either both parties would accept defeat which means a type of civil war would develop. Dalio sees the risk in everywhere, saying that crypto is too exposed to government tracking.

Amidst the current dip there is high influx of investors buying in, seen the avenue that the market has created. So far the market looks promising and as soon we are out of the dip, Bitcoin will reclaim it’s all time high at 60k and even register a new record in the market.
