So today I was cut in middle of an argument which actually turned out educative, the argument was on Non Fungible Tokens NFT’s which gained popularity late 2020 and since then it’s has been an avenue to get rich in a flash. Well the NFT eco system has brought more value to digitalized works, as also given some of artists a public recognition. The argument was simple are NFT’s over hyped, well there was a lot of back and forth as regards this simple statement. We took samples from blockchains which is offering most of these services like the [Solana](https://dailyhodl.com/2022/05/31/ripple-ceo-brad-garlinghouse-says-nfts-are-underhyped-heres-why/) blockchain which bubble with different kinds of NFT projects that has been launched on the platform.

It’s no rocket science that the success of a project solely depends on the hype surrounding it, hence the success of the bored ape yacht club NFT’s cyber punk’s to mention a few. So we thinking that the NFT ecosystem dwells on the it’s hype, listening to an interview which was about Non fungible tokens stating of how under-hyped the ecosystem is presently. In an interview at the world economic forum, the chief executive officer of Ripple labs which is a payment company located in San Francisco says that Non fungible tokens are underutilized and underhyped. 

He says that NFT will definitely gain more grounds surpassing it’s previous achievements if the investors know how it can be utilized. In he’s words;
*“Back in December I was interviewed and I said [NFTs] were ‘underhyped,’ despite the fact that there’s obviously a lot of hype in certain parts of the [NFT](https://youtu.be/D2NpKl36bU4) market. 
I think the tokenization of various assets is underhyped…
As leaders across the world learn how these technologies can actually benefit their constituents, benefit their economies, they’re going to use them.”*

He continued by siting real life scenario like the carbon credits stating that; *Carbon credit marketplaces have been challenged because of, frankly, fraudulent carbon credits – people trading what actually aren’t carbon credit offsets – and the ability to have the traceability, the ability to have an open, visible to anyone trading is, I think, very important, and I think can revolutionize how carbon credit marketplaces and the efficacy of carbon credit marketplaces.”* he believes greatly that carbon credits will benefit from the tokenization of NFT’s.
