Everyone knows that whale upvotes are **a key factor** for posts with high earnings.. Right?

However, whale upvotes are **not** the only thing that counts in terms of rewards.

## So let's talk about rewards..

> a thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement.

**That said, rewards **can** be things like:**
- Upvotes
- Nice replies
- Feedback
- Prize money

### Seriously though.. 
If any of the whales on steemit would visit your post and leave a comment with *"nice article!"* .. Without giving you an upvote.. **How would that make you feel?**

### Most of us would feel the same way..

The thing is .. You shouldn't! - **And why..?**

Because if a whale drops by .. Then you've started to get some recognition at least.

### That means you're on the map! - You're on to something!

- Just keep swimming and do your own thing!

### WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

The recent days .. Or perhaps ever since the beginning of steemit, I wouldn't know because I haven't been here that long.. There's been a bunch of new posts with complaints and misbelief.

Especially from authors who's already been paid a ton of cash for their previous content..

**Most of them** are talking about their earnings..
- They get hundreds of upvotes.
- They get **a bunch** of comments.
- The whales seems to miss their content.
- They earn just a few cents..

### And here's the thing..
As they've been paid a great amount of money until now, for most of their content.. **They started to get used to it.**

### That's why they're complaining now when they don't get the **necessary** upvotes!

Some of them have "upped their game", producing a bunch of posts each day.. Some of them have been writing long chapters from the "darkest hours" of their lifes.. All because of **one** thing. 

## THE MONEY

### The sad part is..
That these people doesn't seem to understand that there's about 43,000 other users on steemit **right now** who doesn't earn a single cent.. **And they've never had success on even one single post of theirs..**

### I've been there myself too!

Yup. That's the thing. I believe I'm doing something good here. I share things and I've got lucky a few times with $300-$600 posts.. **And that's the best thing that ever could have happen to me!**

Since the day I  got paid **big**.. I've been doing a bunch of posts.. Actually 20 or so..

And none of them have been higher than $100. **MOST** of them have been around $12.

<center>**THAT'S STILL MORE THAN WHAT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE MADE ON THEIR POSTS!**</center>

The key thing for me, is to build myself some reputation. I try to grow steemit. I try to contribute. I encourage my readers to discuss things. I've been writings articles elsewhere online to make people aware of steemit..

<center>I know steemit is the **next big thing** so to speak and that's why I'm working my ass off..</center>
