This Is What I Have Accomplished.

Whenever we see downvotes and flagwars they are often issued due to disagreements of the rewards for the specific article. This has occasionally become frequent downvotes on future articles too for various reasons. We've seen it many times, we will see it in the future too and you might even become a victim sooner or later too.

**Most** of the times, the disputes are often solved very quickly without much fuss. However, this article is **not** to discuss the rights or wrongs. This article is written due to some inspiration I've got during the last few days. We have **often** seen people talking about *"doing something for others"* and *"contributions"*. I have personally also mentioned *"pay it forward mindset"* and similar things too... But **what** are we really talking about?

What **you** see as quality might be the something I would see as **garbage**. Quality is always determined by individuals on a personal level. We know that spam would be considered by **most** people as low quality, but there are no strict guidelines or rules to follow. These things are based upon individual determinations. And the **same** goes for **contributions**.

There are a few obvious examples. Such as @dlive, @dtube etc. **Most** people would consider them to be a **huge** contribution to Steem and Steemit. There are also many other things that would and could be seen as a contribution or not. And some people will see certain things as a pure contribution meanwhile others wouldn't agree at all.

That is the reason for this article. I want to hear your thoughts and opinions. Have I contributed to Steemit or Steem in any way and is there anything I could've done differently? - And while you're at it... Think about what **you** have done too!

I joined back in July 2016 and I have written 4804 posts in total. I never write comments with just a simple: *"Thank you"* or anything boring and dull like that, so I personally believe that 99% of my posts have been of good quality. I have also managed to grow my following and have more than 2600 followers today.

On top of that, I have reached a reputation score of **66.960** and I have during the major part of my time on Steemit tried to pave the way for others in one way or another. I have tried to encourage, inspire and support those around me and I have often referred to myself as a support pillar. Both in life and on Steemit.

I have shared many different guides and tutorials. I have shared my own experience, my tips and my knowledge to help others. I have also replied to **most** of the comments I get on my articles. I truly believe that my readers are my most valuable asset on Steemit and I have strived and worked hard to **never** neglect or ignore any of my readers or followers. I have also discussed, helped and talked with **many** Steemians on Discord and in Steem.chat.

@fulltimegeek delegated me Steem Power and thereby invited me to become a Steward in the #StewardsofGondor project. And due to his amazing generosity and unselfish act, I started to delegate my own Steem Power to others and also became the benefactor of the @asapers. Which is a curation team much like the @ocd and other similar teams out there.

However, the @asapers is unique and was created out of the sheer will to pay it forward. Our main goal and purpose with the @asapers has and will always be to encourage, help and support minnows and newcomers.

We decided to **share** the rewards **directly** with the authors we feature, but not only that. We **also** curate directly from our **followers**.

Even though I have launched my own curation project and delegate Steem Power to other amazing Steemians, I have continued to delegate Steem Power to @minnowsupport, and I do this even though some people might see us as "competitors".

The reason I continue to support @minnowsupport is because we have similar goals, even though we are different, and I have no intentions of trying to *"beat"* or *"overcome"* our *"competitiors"*... Because we're all striving towards the same goals, even though our approach might be different.

I Had The Pleasure To Be A Steward For 10 Weeks.

I started out with a delegation of 5000 Steem Power and got an additional delegation of 1000 SP after a few weeks so I had without a doubt a good chance to spread the wealth across our entire platform... All thanks to @fulltimegeek and the opportunity he gave me.

Did I Do Something Good?

During my 10 weeks as a fully fledged Steward of Gondor I reached a **total** of **5693** Steemians with **13577** votes in **total**. These stats was directly taken from @abh12345's weekly reports.

I am obviously biased, so it wouldn't be really fair if I were to decide if I put @fulltimegeek's Steem Power to good use or not, so I'll leave that to you. Feel free to let me know in the comments below what you think about the results.

**Just some quick math:**
**13577** votes in 10 weeks equals to 1357,7 votes per week. That's **193,95** votes per day and the **5693** authors I reached in 10 weeks equates to **569,3** per week. That's **81.32** authors per day.

I guess it's rather safe to say that **many** of you received an upvote from me. Many of you probably received **multiple** upvotes too, as I **always** upvote comments on my own articles too.

I have also **never** used **any** bid bots to place **maximum** bids, as I have **zero** intentions of ruining the ROI for others in the same bid rounds. I would **never** recommend **anyone** to do this and I would **never** endorse such behaviour because I believe it's an act of greed and selfishness. And in all honesty, that doesn't go well with my *"pay it forward"* mindset.

I **recommend** people to use bid bots and to buy votes, but just to boost the articles a little bit in terms of exposure. Even though I personally do **not** like **how** people are using the different bid bots, there is nothing much I can do about it... But I can make sure to **never** use them to ruin the ROI for others. And that's what I have done from day 1.

Even though I am struggling to pay a debt so I can afford to study, (the education starts in 11 days), I have **never** placed a maximum bid to any bid bots... Even though I **could** and even though it **would** change my life.

On Top Of These Things...

I have made many friends. I have become a better writer, (in my own honest opinion) and I have in some sense become a better person since I joined Steemit. I have also been called a **mentor** and a **leader** multiple times and I have had an **impact**. I have also been able to make a difference in people's lives.

Have I Paid It Forward?
