The era of campaign Mode is now a time to acquire cards without paying for a dime. This simply means no more dull moments in splinterlands!

Camping mode is for everyone- both players that are not registered and players that have registers. One thing stands out in campaign mode; and the thing is that it makes new players to engage very well because the aim is to help new players to stay in the game.  
The way book one was arranged- it was a strategic and systemic arrangement to make new players understand the game batter. When a new player followed chapter 1 to last chapter, he/she would understand that it was arranged to make them understand it better.

**The following are the opportunities one can gets from campaign mode:**

_It is an Academy_\- We all know what academics is all about; it is a place of learning. In splinterlands, it is a place of learning cards, abilities, stats, and strategies. In chapter 1 of Campaign Mode, I was given a monster and summoner to fight in a battle; I fought and I won it. In the second chapter, I was given Aurelia summoner and Dread Tafarian monster, I fought and won it- Second chapter was completed. In chapter 3, I was given 2 monsters to fight in a battle. In chapter 4 I was given 3 monsters to fight- 2 melee monsters and one ranged monster. At this moment, if I were a new player, if I placed a ranged monster in the first position, and it did not attack, I would not do that again. In this process I have learned something important. That was how the monsters kept increasing till I completed book one. Each chapter focuses on speccific aspect of the game, for instance, chapter 7 marks the begining of introduction of summoner that gives monsters with magic attack. I already knew that when I use a magic monster, +1 magic attack would be added. It makes the new players to understand the game very well!

_Additional of Foundational cards_: when I completed book one I got 38 foundation cards. When a player gets this kind of opportunities to acquire cards, he/she should not overlook it. That is the reason I view the whole Campaign mode as the new opportunitiies for players that do not have enough cards, new players and players that are about to start playing the game. I knew a time is coming that there would not be campaign mode again; therefore, I understand that it is an opportunity for everyone that is interested.

It can be used in any format: After I completed book one, I played modern format; and foundational cards appeared when I was selecting monsters. What I was doing was to test the efficacy of foundational cards in ranked battles. The exciting part of this foundational cards is that it contains all cards from every element. Therefore the cards are available in any element I select right now.

_Not Tradeable_: Foundational cards cannot be traded anywhere. I don't maybe it can be traded in the future; if you look at the picture I showed above, when I marked **Ember Roast Sow** the only available option was ‘lock’. Hence, I believe foundational cards cannot be combined, sent, delegated and traded.

_Earn Glint and SPS in ranked battles_: Earning is very crucial to players. Earning is what keep some players to play splinterlands. I can say the important of foundational cards is to have fun and earn something. The last battle I played in the modern format, I was rewarded with 206 Glints and 0.325 SPS. Therefore, foundation cards generate rewards for players. I believe the rewards generated can be used to buy cards in the reward shop.

Well! That is the essence of Glint in splinterlands; glint cannot be used for any other things rather than to buy cards in the reward shop.

**Splinterlands is doing everything to help players in the modern format**

Sincerely, the moment chaos legion was removed from modern format, I'm discouraged to play splinterlands because I only had Chaos legion cards. After it was removed, when I played modern format, there was just a little cards for me to play. All the cards that were available were in level 1. I was using level 6 summoner to play before, I was not happy at all. When I played 4 battles, I won only two battlea out of 4. There are players like me that love splinterlands very well, the want to be part of the game, and they only have chaos legion cards. Therefore, I believe splinterlands introduce campaign mode to help them get more cards they can use in battles.

**In conclusion**, taking part in it is very important to me because I don't know maybe it will end well. Probably, in the nearest future, it may contribute to collection power, tradable and provide value on land. Most importantly, if you are a new player, or you about to start splinterlands, foundational cards are opportunities to start engaged and earn tangible rewards.

The good news is that in phase 2, the foundarional cards will be tradeable, transferrable and sellable. That is why it is worthy to engage.
