The 88th Hive Open Mic event ran from December 12-18, 2021, with the theme: Loyalty and Fidelity. This theme was chosen by our recent Spotlight Artist @musicandreview, who bring amazing contributions to this community, through musical duets and meaningful comments. Let's begin today's community concert with their song.

@musicandreview share their musical gifts in their distinct fashion, with Omar's guitar accompanying Dina's voice. One difference here is the vocal duet, singing in unison. I also notice in the background a computer screen and a sign that shows just how relevant this song is to our Hive Open Mic community. Truly, this performance is made specifically for us. I hope we can all appreciate the intimacy in this.

@David.Dicotomia brings awesome artistry to this performance and its visual presentation. It's a song with celestial harmonies, solid audio production, surprisingly great areas of emphasis, blue lighting... and it is unique. It I were to see or hear any single frame of this video I would guess it is this artist's work, because it is so distinct. I think this is exactly what we artists must consider: What makes us unique? @nellynohemi stands out as a generous listener and commenter, as well as being the outstanding vocalist she is. The support she shows to other musicians is highly admirable. We all know what a joy it is to be accepted and embraced for the gifts we bring. She gives people that joy. 

I feel we can all follow her lead and give graciously with our listening and commenting. Hive thrives when we actively engage with each other. For her efforts, Nelly is a champion of audience engagement. As a reward, we are pinning her post at the top of our community page.
