This past week I've been playing [Realm](https://play.realmnft.io/) on Wax. I found out about it in a post from @mypathtofire - thanks !

Its a strategy builder type game:
 - You build a base in each continent across the world - you start in Africa and have to progress to open up more continents.  I've managed to open up Asia now,
 - At your base you have various buildings you can build and upgrade.  They generate resources, do research and allow you to build helpers,
 - You then send the helpers you have made to do missions across the contents which earn you experience and reputation,
 - You also have leaders.  They can manage your base and also lead your helpers on a mission.  You can level them up and they provide bonuses, etc.

I've been playing for a week now, and am rather addicted !  I love builder type games, so the leveling up of buildings and leaders has me hooked !  So I've been growing resources like mad and undertaking missions to get experience and reputation to help me level up and progress.

The game runs in seasons.  Its currently the 7th one, and it ends in around 5 days or so.  The aim is to get as many reputation points as you can, and then the higher up you are in the leagues, the larger the share of the rewards pool you will get.

As can be seen I'm in the bronze league and am weighing in at a mighty 1247th !  Lol - but thats already enough to get me some RLM rewards, which is the main token in the game.  The exchange rate is currently 0.00455001 WAX/realm.  So my massive 36 RLM would get me around 0.16 WAX - kerrr-ching (maybe).  

But I'm enjoying the game, and I'm expecting to have moved up a bit further before the season ends, so I'll hopefully get a little more than that.  At this point I'm doing it because the game is fun - not for the rewards.

And just now there is an event running.  You get auto-assigned to one of the teams.  I'm in red, and then the idea is to take over bases with your helpers and try and hold them for as long as you can, and at the end of the 3 day event, the teams are awarded an RLM salary boost for 24 hours.  Its pretty fun, and my team is currently in 3rd (we aint doing too good) !

The leaders are pretty cool.  You start with a couple of freebies (John and Jane) so you can actually play the game without investing, but they dont get you very far.  To make progress you really have to buy a few leaders.  I've now got four (one is not shown as he is on a mission).  I've probably paid about 4-5 HIVE to get them all.  I've got one 1-star and 3 2-star leaders.  5 star is the best.  They make a difference, and when you put them in charge of a base in a continent they also allow you to earn an hourly salary.  Its not a lot, but it increases as they level up.  I've not got two 2-star leaders managing a base in Africa and my other one in Asia, and that gets me around 10 RLM per day.  And as they level up, I'll earn more.

So thats a quick summary of the game.  Its fun, and I keep it running in a window on the side while I do other Hive stuff, and I check in at various points during the day to level up buildings, collect resources and the like.  I'm really enjoying it, and am looking forward to the next season.  With my leaders levelling up a little, and my knowledge building up,  I'll be able to start the next season with a bigger bang than I did when I started a week ago - so it'll be fun.
