Showing up daily has always been something I wish to be good at and somehow, that’s exactly what hive has made to become a part of me. My journey started some years back and fast forward to today, I’m just grateful and thankful for my onboarder @merit.ahama and to those great minds that came together to build a place as Hive. I interact with people daily and most times they are always curious to know what I do to sustain myself even as a student.

Telling people about hive always seems like a nice fictional story to them. For some of them, they take the next step to ask how they can be a part of Hive and I try my best to tell them the basic dos and don’ts and at that point, fewer persons will accept it and show interest to join. Sadly, most times the one thing I ask them to avoid is what they still end up doing. Thinking about that alone, I started finding it hard to tell people about hive because it won’t be nice to lose all I have worked for years just because of me trying to share my testimony with someone but somehow, I still can’t resist the urge to tell hive to whoever cares to listen. 

Hive has helped me discover some things about myself that I never knew was possible. I was very good at doubting myself before I joined hive but all that keeps changing as the day goes by. The more I show up every day to share my thoughts on different topics and experiences, the more I know me better and work hard to be a better version of myself. Hive has helped me see that I can be way better than I am now and I don’t see any reason why I should not give me a chance to do better. Of course, I have made some mistakes in the past but I never let that define me, in fact, those setbacks were my stepping stones to where I am today.

Hive has helped me meet different people far and wide. I don’t communicate with some of them like I used to again but then, I’m grateful for those times when I was close with them. And now, I have met new friends and even a partner all thanks to hive. All of these was only possible because I try to show up daily and I gave myself open to learning which is all thanks to God. Hive has taught me the importance of staying consistent and connected and also the importance of investing in long term goals. 

I always tell people that hive is a place for everyone but I’m very certain some people will want to say otherwise because things are not really going well for them but trust me, no matter how biased you think hive is, as long as you do the right things, one day your efforts will pay off but the only challenge is that no one knows when that will be. Just do your thing and always keep on learning and applying the things you are learning and your hive journey will be a new story to tell. Despite my fears of not wanting to tell others about hive, I still do and that is because hive is irresistible to talk about.

Love hive and hive will show you love too in return if you don’t give up. The problem with a lot of us is that we lack the patience to make hive show us love back. Like I always tell myself when I feel like giving up, “nothing good comes easy” it requires your time, energy and patience.
