To partially contradict my [post](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@hosgug/bad-start-for-meta-mal-start-para-meta) from yesterday, today we have a piece of new news about certain stagnant projects within the great arsenal of tools available to Mark Zuckerberg's companies.

I don't know if it was because of my note, although I don't think Meta is interested in what I say, well, actually, I don't even think they know that I exist, ha ha, the truth is that yesterday I found out some news about these projects of Novi and Diem who had suffered the blow of being left without a driver and of which I made some comments.

To be honest, yesterday's publication had been saved for a week so I regret not having published it at the time, but that's the way things are and it coincided almost exactly with the news that partly contradicts and partly confirms what I said, The new head of this project decided to start testing transfers and payments from WhatsApp using the Nuvi wallet. These will be pilot tests and only available to a small group of testers within the United States.

However, it seems that for now Diem will not be taken into account, the announcement only includes the wallet, and payments and transfers will be made with USDP or PAX Dollar, a stable currency with parity to the dollar and guaranteed by fiat currency that was launched at the market by the Paxos Standard firm founded in 2018. Additionally, it was reported that Coinbase will be the custody and protection partner of the assets and working capital.

Diem's ​​future is uncertain, it has undergone major transformations since its creation was announced a couple of years ago when it was called Libra. This cryptocurrency has had to suffer the loss of support from big players such as Visa and Mastercard, now the news that it will not be part of this pilot test gives one more blow to its already battered credibility.

Despite this reality, Diem is not dead yet since the previous CEO of the project had announced before retiring from the company that the cryptocurrency would be used in the wallet and the WhatsApp project only when all the legal aspects of its launch had been fulfilled.

The novel promises to continue and it is not yet clear if all this will be part of the great goal of Meta: the Metaverse.

Para contradecir en parte mi [publicación](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@hosgug/bad-start-for-meta-mal-comienzo-para-meta) de ayer, en el día de hoy tenemos una nueva noticia sobre ciertos proyectos estancados dentro del gran arsenal de herramientas con que cuentan las empresas de Mark Zuckerberg.

No se si fue por mi nota, aunque no creo que a Meta le interese lo que yo diga, bien, en realidad ni siquiera creo que sepan que existo, ha ha,  lo cierto es que ayer mismo me enteré de algunas novedades sobre estos proyectos de Novi y Diem que había sufrido el golpe de quedarse sin conductor y de los cuales hice algunos comentarios.

Para ser sincero, la publicación de ayer la tenía guardada desde una semana atrás por lo que lamento no haberla publicado en su momento, pero así son las cosas y coincidió casi exactamente con la noticia que en parte contradice y en parte confirma lo que dije, el nuevo jefe de este proyecto decidió comenzar las pruebas de transferencias y pagos desde Whatsapp mediante la utilización del monedero Nuvi. Estas serán pruebas piloto y solo disponible para un pequeño grupo de testeadores dentro de los Estados Unidos.

Sin embargo, parecería que por ahora Diem no será tenida en cuenta, el anuncio solo incluye a la billetera y los pagos y transferencias se realizarán con USDP o PAX Dollar, una moneda estable con paridad al dólar y garantizada por moneda fiduciaria que fue lanzada al mercado por la firma Paxos Standard fundada en 2018. Adicionalmente se informó que Coinbase será el socio de custodia y protección de los activos y circulante.

El futuro de Diem es incierto, ha sufrido grandes transformaciones desde que se anunció su creación hace de esto un par de años, cuando se llamaba Libra. Esta criptomoneda ha tenido que sufrir la pérdida de apoyo de grandes jugadores como Visa y Mastercard, ahora la noticia sobre que no será de la partida en esta prueba piloto le da un golpe más a su ya maltratada credibilidad.

No obstante esta realidad, Diem aun no está muerta ya que el anterior CEO del proyecto había anunciado antes de retirarse de la compañía que la criptomoneda se utilizaría en la billetera y el proyecto de Whatsapp recién cuando tuviera cumplidos todos los aspectos legales de su lanzamiento.

La novela promete continuar y aun no está claro si todo esto formará parte de la gran meta de Meta: el Metaverso.
