Hice alusión a esta jornada 7 de la liga de mi país donde se disputan los llamados "clásicos" que son partidos entre rivales históricos en una publicación de la semana pasada.

No todos los equipos que disputan el actual torneo tienen un rival principal, ya sea del mismo barrio, ciudad o provincia. Esto es debido principalmente a los ascensos y descensos de categoría ya que algunos equipos militan en una liga distinta, el caso de Unión que se quedó sin su rival de toda la vida, Colón por haber descendido, debido a estas vicisitudes, algunos equipos no pueden enfrentar a su principal rival. También hay cuestiones organizativas, por ejemplo, hay tres equipos que son de la provincia de Córdoba y el clásico original siempre fue Talleres vs. Instituto, pero debido a que ambos se encuentran en la misma zona y estos clásicos tienen la particularidad de enfrentar equipos que se encuentran en distinta zona, el encuentro principal fue entre Belgrano y Talleres.

Pero dejemos las cuestiones organizativas y vamos a los resultados; como ya esperaba la paridad se hizo presente, la mayoría de los encuentros disputados hasta ayer terminaron empatados, aunque si hubo definición en el clásico de Avellaneda, pese al favoritismo de Independiente, puntero en soledad de su zona, sucumbió ante Racing Club por la mínima diferencia. En Córdoba empataron en 2 tantos por bando Belgrano y Talleres, en La Plata Gimnasia y Estudiantes no se sacaron ventajas y el encuentro finalizó 0 a 0 aunque hubo polémicas por un gol anulado al lobo platense a instancias del VAR por posición adelantada, o quizás debamos decir la uña del dedo gordo del pie derecho por delante del defensor de Estudiantes. En Rosario Newell's perdió ante su clásico rival Rosario Central por la mínima diferencia estirando este último una clara paternidad, Huracán y San Lorenzo también repitieron el 0 a 0 y en el encuentro más importante de la fecha, River Plate y Boca Juniors empataron en un gol por bando con un leve predominio de los locales. En el clásico de la zona sur, Lanús y Banfield tampoco se sacaron ventajas y el encuentro finalizó con un gol por lado.

Una fecha aburrida con tan pocas definiciones, la mediocridad de los equipos es una causa probable, no es que en nuestro país se haya acabado el talento, sino que la mayoría de los jugadores relevantes emigran desde jóvenes a otros destinos, principalmente Europa donde son requeridos por los principales equipos del viejo continente y donde los salarios y premios son un imán demasiado poderoso para resistirse. Tampoco podemos descartar el miedo a perder, nadie quiere perder y menos aún contra el clásico rival, es una constante en estos encuentros donde la presión es muy grande.

El torneo se presenta muy parejo y no hay ningún equipo que saque diferencias importantes, salvo el sorprendente Godoy Cruz de Mendoza que está invicto con 6 partidos ganados y un empate, algo que nadie esperaba antes del comienzo de esta temporada, veremos si como ocurre en otras ligas del mundo, puede aguantar la presión y se consolida como líder; de todas maneras, el formato de este torneo no asegura nada al ganador de la etapa regular más que jugar las instancias definitorias con el peor equipo de los 4 clasificados de la otra zona, un premio escaso para una campaña extensa y dura, pero así es el fútbol argentino de este momento, desquiciado en su fixture, en sus decisiones, en la definición de sus torneos, en la prohibición de concurrir a los estadios a la hinchada del equipo visitante.

Algo para destacar fue la buena predisposición de jugadores y dirigentes de todos los equipos para evitar confrontaciones y disturbios, en la mayoría de los encuentros se jugó normalmente, aunque hubo que lamentar algunos desmanes de menor importancia.

I alluded to this matchday 7 of my country's league where the so-called "classics" are played, which are matches between historical rivals, in a publication last week.
