Este fin de semana llega a su fin un intenso terceto de carreras continuas en la Fórmula Uno internacional, luego de Japón, Bahrein y, ahora, Arabia Saudita. Tres carreras en menos de un mes que han delineado un vehemente anticipo de lo que nos espera para el resto de la temporada.

Hasta aquí el dominio de McLaren ha sido evidente, Lando Norris, el piloto que se pensaba en lo previo sería el que llevaría los colores de la escudería a lo más alto, ha defeccionado un poco debido a sus propios errores y desprolijidades. Su compañero de equipo, el joven, aunque no por ello menos sorprendente y eficaz Oscar Piastri, se ha llevado para sus alforjas nada menos que 2 carreras hasta el momento y lo ha hecho de la mejor manera, en la última disputada en el desértico Sakhir ha sido sólido y convincente dominando entrenamientos, clasificación y carrera.

Pero no nos engañemos, hay una escudería que le sigue los pasos de cerca y es Mercedes, tanto Rusell como el jovencito Kimi Antonelli están demostrando que sus vehículos funcionan muy bien y son rápidos y confiables, solo es cuestión de tiempo que el triunfo los acompañe,  no dejamos de lado al siempre presente Red Bull que de la mano del cuádruple campeón mundial Max Verstappen siempre tiene más para ofrecer pese a que el auto no es ni la sombra de aquel que dominaba a voluntad tan solo un par de años atrás.

Más atrás, bastante, está posicionado Ferrari con actuaciones poco convincentes, tanto que sus pilotos todavía no han conocido el podio disputadas 4 carreras.

Ha sorprendido un tanto la actuación de Williams, principalmente con la actuación de Alex Albon, quien ya acumula más puntos que todos los obtenidos en el año anterior, su nuevo compañero, el experimentado Carlos Sainz demuestra con sus erráticas actuaciones que aún no se ha adaptado al cambio de vehículo.

El resto de los equipos han tenido actuaciones medianamente acordes a lo que se suponía salvo por dos casos, Alpine que recién en la última carrera ha conseguido salir de esa incómoda situación de no tener puntos y Racing Bull, bastante menos de lo que sus antecedentes previos estimaban, aunque el enroque de pilotos con Red Bull quizás haya perjudicado una performance, veremos si en las próximas competencias estos equipos se afianzan y vuelven a lo que se esperaba de ellos.

Pero las palabras huelgan y hoy comienza la acción, a media mañana (10:30 de mi país) tendremos la primera tanda de entrenamientos libres y por la tarde, a las 14:00 la segunda. Mañana sábado en los mismos horarios de la mañana la tercera y última tanda de entrenamientos libres y por la tarde la clasificación. El domingo, el plato fuerte, la carrera a partir de las 14:00 de mi país.

Las cartas están sobre la mesa, ¿'continuará McLaren dominando? o finalmente Mercedes dará ese pequeño salto que lo catapulte a la cima del podio, quizás Red Bull mejore el algo, o tal vez Ferrari. Como sea esperamos una carrera interesante y llena de emociones. 

Se viene la quinta carrera pactada a 50 vueltas en el bello y exigente circuito de Jeddah, en el corazón de Arabia Saudita, todo está en juego nuevamente.

#### The preview of Jeddah


This weekend concludes an intense trio of consecutive races in international Formula One, following Japan, Bahrain, and now Saudi Arabia. Three races in less than a month have provided a strong preview of the rest of the season.

Up to this point, McLaren's dominance has been evident. Lando Norris, the driver previously thought to be the one to take the team to the top, has slipped slightly due to his own mistakes and sloppiness. His teammate, the young but no less surprising and effective Oscar Piastri, has won no fewer than two races and has performed at his best. In the last one held in the desert of Sakhir, he was solid and convincing, dominating practice, qualifying, and the race.

But let's not fool ourselves, there's a team following close behind, and that's Mercedes. Both Russell and youngster Kimi Antonelli are proving that their cars are performing very well, are fast, and are reliable. It's only a matter of time before they achieve victory. We can't overlook the ever-present Red Bull, which, led by four-time world champion Max Verstappen, always has more to offer, even though the car isn't even a shadow of the one that dominated at will just a couple of years ago.

Farther behind, significantly, is Ferrari, with unconvincing performances, so much so that its drivers have yet to score a podium after four races.

Williams' performance has been somewhat surprising, mainly due to the performance of Alex Albon, who has already accumulated more points than of the previous year. His new teammate, the experienced Carlos Sainz, demonstrates with his erratic performances that he has yet to adapt to the change of vehicle.

The rest of the teams performed fairly in line with expectations, except for two cases: Alpine, which only managed to escape the awkward situation of having no points in the last race, and Racing Bull, which was considerably less than its previous record suggested. Although the driver exchange with Red Bull may have hampered their performance, we'll see if these teams consolidate their position in the upcoming races and return to what was expected of them.

But words are unnecessary, and today the action begins. At mid-morning (10:30 a.m. in my country), we'll have the first free practice session, and in the afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., the second. Tomorrow, Saturday, at the same time as the morning, the third and final free practice session will begin, and in the afternoon, qualifying. On Sunday, the main event, the race, begins at 2:00 p.m. in my country.

The cards are on the table: Will McLaren continue to dominate? Or Mercedes will finally make that small leap that catapults them to the top of the podium, perhaps Red Bull will improve somewhat, or maybe Ferrari. Either way, we expect an interesting and exciting race.

The fifth race, scheduled for 50 laps, is approaching at the beautiful and demanding Jeddah circuit in the heart of Saudi Arabia. Everything is at stake once again.
