A nadie escapa que la IA está por todas partes, en crecimiento constante y avanzando sobre una infinidad de temas; algunos analistas van más allá y auguran un dominio prácticamente exclusivo del conocimiento y del trabajo en poco tiempo. Asusta un poco esto, ¿no les parece?

Ya nada nos puede extrañar sobre la IA y su competencia (¿entrometimiento?) en cualquier tema que pinte. Justamente esta mañana mientras me bañaba me enteré de que un municipio de la Provincia de Buenos Aires ha nombrado a "Sara" como funcionaria encargada de gestionar reclamos de vecinos, soluciones ambientales y asesoramiento. Y eso no es nada, se ha mencionado que en algún país ya hay una IA nombrada ministro.

Por eso no extraña a nadie que en los últimos tiempos la inteligencia artificial haya incursionado en una gran diversidad de temas, inclusive en la álgida área de los pronósticos deportivos.

Pocos días atrás, una IA analizó las posibilidades de campeonar de Piastri, Norris y Verstappen y dio su veredicto: tendremos campeón y será por solo un punto, algo que suena demasiado preciso pero que augura grandes emociones en estas últimas dos carreras que quedan para finalizar el campeonato de pilotos de la Fórmula Uno.

Según pude averiguar, se utilizó una enorme base de datos especializada que incluyó datos de todo tipo, no solamente la performance de cada uno de los 3 involucrados sino también la historia y el rendimiento actual de sus vehículos, los circuitos donde se desarrollarán las últimas dos carreras, los jefes de equipo y hasta los mecánicos, todo para dar un veredicto lo más certero posible.

Seguramente alguno me tildará de antiguo y desactualizado; me opongo tozudamente, agrego que no creo en ese pronóstico y menos con ese nivel de exactitud.

Si quieren saber quién es el elegido como seguro ganador del título, busque ustedes mismos, no les quedará otra posibilidad que consultarlo con CHatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity o algún otro gurú artificial experto en Fórmula Uno.

#### We already have a champion

It's no secret that AI is everywhere, constantly growing and advancing across countless fields; some analysts go even further and predict its near-exclusive dominance of knowledge and work in a short time. That's a little frightening.

Nothing surprises us anymore about AI and its competition (or interference?) in any area it touches. Just this morning, while I was showering, I learned that a municipality in the Province of Buenos Aires has appointed "Sara" as an official in charge of handling residents' complaints, environmental solutions, and providing advice. And that's not all; it has been mentioned that in some countries, an AI has already been appointed as a minister.

Therefore, it's no surprise that in recent times artificial intelligence has ventured into a wide variety of areas, including the hotly debated field of sports predictions.

A few days ago, an AI analyzed the championship chances of Piastri, Norris, and Verstappen and delivered its verdict: we will have a champion, and it will be by just one point. This sounds almost too precise, but it promises great excitement in the final two races of the Formula One drivers' championship.

From what I've been able to find out, a huge specialized database was used, including all kinds of data: not only the performance of each of the three drivers involved, but also the history and current performance of their cars, the circuits where the last two races will take place, the team principals, and even the mechanics—all to provide the most accurate prediction possible.

Some will surely call me old-fashioned and outdated; I vehemently disagree. I'll add that I don't believe in that prediction, much less with that level of accuracy.

If you want to know who the clear winner of the title is, look it up yourself. You'll have no other option but to consult ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or some other self-proclaimed Formula One expert.

I only trust my pillow.
