We can all agree that no matter what we decide to do, we can never be 100% certain of the outcome. There are always possibilities of things going the other way. And that's why you have to make sure that whatever you do in life, in order to protect yourself - you look for a way to create a backup plan, in order to reduce your risks. You cannot afford to be completely helpless if one plan fails.

Many really smart businessmen will tell you that if option A doesn't come in, option B will come in. Some even go as further as having even more options than two. Life is very dynamic, and many experiences in life should have made you realize that you cannot completely rest your mind on one thing - at least you should have one backup option.

Some other people will make attempts to deceive you that you should put all of your hope in just one thing. While this may actually propel you in one direction - if by any chance that choice of yours is wrong. You may be completely left to hang and dry. If you have people depending on you, that's not a possibility you want.

Hence, it's good that even if one business is thriving and doing well, you should diversify your investment. Hence, if that business in the future isn't doing as fine, your backup investments may be doing well. This is not to discourage you from focusing on your option A. You definitely must place greater priority on option A.

You have to put most of your efforts and energy on your option A; but you also have to put some efforts on backup options. In life, you have to cover all the edges. Even with items that are very important to you, try to create a backup option - just in case, your favorite option isn't forth coming, you can always have something to fall back on.
