My name is Rory Borealis. I chose this name because it reflects what’s inside of me: light. My life has been filled with much darkness, but instead of letting that drag me down, I’ve always approached the challenges that life has thrown at me with an indomitable attitude. Philosophy is my life-blood, and a life of exploring the wisdom of the world has left me with one conclusion: free will is a skill. This means that every grain of sand that ticks down in our hourglass is an opportunity. Every moment is a choice, and the accumulation of choices determines what future we walk towards. By consistently pushing our boundaries, we grow our character, and so I present myself to you as a character that only experience could create.

Writing has always been a means of expression for me. At a young age, I poured myself into pages, stretching my ability to define the undefinable. As I grew, I learned to use this talent as a wordsmith to create personal stories, articles, essays, poems, and lyrics. This gave me the leg up to begin freelance writing, where I also did editing, ghostwriting, and sales pieces. It has also allowed me to network with a group of like-minded individuals, and we created a successful niche community that, among other things, helps support people suffering from psychosis, drug addiction, or otherwise ostracized by their eccentricities.

This experience earned me the opportunity to work as the lead writer and writer coordinator for two seperate heart-centered nonprofits on the west coast. In this time, I have written grants, press releases, ICO papers, social media posts, website content, and regular articles. Additionally, I have hosted meetings, maintained a post syndication network, edited the work of others, and assisted with the creation of an online academy. Furthermore, these projects allowed me to expand more than my horizons as a writer. I was able to directly assist those in need, built my building skills, and saw a whole new side of life. 

I have accumulated more than a decade of unique and useful experiences and skills, but there is one part of myself that I wish to share. I am a juggler. This is a crucial detail to understanding me. I call myself the Impractical Juggler because I have developed a completely novel style of free-form juggling that is dazzling and that I have yet to see anyone else reproduce. With more than seven years of studies and experiments in game theory, psychology, and marketing, I have made myself completely stand out from any competition and given myself the ability to meet interesting people wherever I go.

It is my life goal to reach people on a deeper level and help the world’s people find the power that lies in all of our hearts. As I go about my life, I am finding more and more people reaching out to me to thank me, or to tell me that they enjoy reading what I write. There may have been times in my life where I was afraid of not knowing if I was going to have a meaningful impact on the world, but now I am confident in my ability to shine for others. I am grateful for everything my life has given me, and I am joyful to be walking towards a future where I am able to use my abilities to make the world a better place.
