Polygamy is the union between one man and many wives, polygamy marriage is now common in our world today, it usually brings confusion, hatred and disunity to believer of Christ . As to whether polygamy is permitted by God ? the answer is No.
    
Given that many people whom God held in high esteem King David and King Solomon were later polygamous during their life time, it may lead people to think that God support polygamy.
   
God does not support polygamy, he has given man the mandate of monogamy marriage as we can see with Adam and Eve, let's look at Luke 16 Vs 18;
   
>*Whosoever putteth away his wife,and marrieth another committee adultery and whosoever marrieth her husband committed adultery*

     
This verse is telling us that any man that leaves his wife and marries another woman  commit adultery and any woman that leaves her husband and marries another man commit adultery, which is an abomination unto God and man.
      
God Almighty does not allow polygamy, God has given man guide on how they may live according to his will and commandement,But free will of man bestowed by God makes man  deviate from  God initial intension for man.
