So, Tuesday night's game didn't go as I had hoped, between FC Barcelona and PSG in the Champions League. It was a heavy defeat against the defending champions of the competition. Although I was not expecting the match to be any easier for Barcelona, I was hoping the boys would get the important three points in the match. It was an even match-up between Barcelona and PSG as both teams were equally cancelling each other out. This loss was clear because Hansi Flick's tactics failed him because he made the wrong choice in that match on Tuesday night. The truth, which I will not deny, is that PSG were good, and it was not even their main starting lineup, as some of their players were injured in the match, and for Barcelona, some key players were out, but with the quality Hansi Flick had ready, the team should have won the match. There were a lot of chances that if Barcelona had taken they would have won the match earlier in the first half, but the team failed to convert their chances in front of goal. Dani Olmo has been off this season, and at first, I didn't want to make any criticism when a lot of Barcelona fans have been complaining about the Spanish midfielder's recent form this season, because I know how he was an impact for the team last season. Yesterday's game changed my narrative on Dani Olmo, and now it's either Dani Olmo starts getting his act together to put up a good performance on the pitch, or prepare to stay on the bench because once Fermin Lopez recovers from injury, he will be getting more minutes than Olmo on the pitch. It was clear how impactful Pedri is for Barcelona in the midfield, as it showed when he was subbed off, how Barcelona's defence broke down in a matter of minutes. It was like a ship without a captain and this was the main key thing that gave PSG their winning goal in the last minute of the match. Barcelona's defence was also in chaos, and I was screaming at the top of my voice in a viewing centre for Hansi Flick to bring in Andres Christensen and Ronald Araujo because PSG attacks were toying with Barcelona defenders. The defeat on Tuesday is Barcelona's third loss so far in 2025, which is an impressive start, but this loss should take them back to the drawing board because if Barcelona wants to win the UCL this season, then what the team played on Thursday should not repeat. The next focus will be on the Sevilla game this weekend away from home. The response I need from this match should be alarming to show the boys are hungry.
