<liketuimages> <center>           </center> </liketuimages> **It had been awhile I savoured durian. Have you tried durian?** Durian is a tropical fruit with spiky and hard outer shell. It is as large as an adult heads, sometimes smaller, often bigger. We called it the king of fruits. It has a pungent smell, custard-like flesh with large seeds. The flesh ranges in colours from yellow to white, special breed one is red or green. Durian grows in tropical regions around the world, particularly in the Southeast Asian countries, for example Malaysia (I am from Malaysia), Indonesia, and Thailand. --- ***Husband suddenly told us he would go for a durian buffet with two friends. For his birthday, he wanted to give these two durian buddies a good durian feast. I quickly said I wanted to join. Then the boys also quickly said they wanted to join too. Lol. So, here we were, at Brother Durian.*** # Brother Durian Location: Jalan SS 2/67, SS 2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor After the lockdown, it seemed that they did do up the place. It has beautiful lightings now surrounding it, more spacious and more windy due to more fans installed. We came here for a buffet of RM50 per person, eat all you can for two premium breed of durians called the D24 and XO breed. We were given a basket to throw away the shell and a small container on the table to throw away the seeds. Last time, they would give each customer a small bottled water for drinking but this time, we did not receive it. Therefore, we ordered fresh local coconut water. They sold mangosteen too because mangosteen helps to 'turn off' the heat by durian. Sort of helps to cool down the body as it is believed consuming durian made our body heaty. I wanted to see how many we could eat. Haha. Altogether, we were served 6 huge durians with a lot of seeds of fruits inside. We were satisfied that each one was of high grade, fleshy plump flesh. Fresh. Of course delicious because we love love love durians. I love to eat durian because even with same breed, each one has its distinctive taste and arome. Some have some sweetness with bitterness. Some are completely sweet. Some are alcoholic. And some are in the between. Very adventurous and satisfying feasting. Altogether, the men ate more. I could gobble up 8 seeds of flesh. The eldest son could only eat 4 and felt super full. The youngest one ate 1, he was not charged because we told the seller he would not eat a lot. The eldest son was charged RM35. This time, I used the gloves given because I did not feel like wanting to have durian smell on my fingers. The rest used their hands and licked the remainder of durian flesh at their fingers in satisfaction. ***We truly enjoyed fellowship like this over durian buffet.
