**After our lunch at Sg. Antu Hawker Centre (in my previous post), we literally ate non-stop after that. I was thinking my digestive system might be complaining about no-off-day. Let me share with you what we ate after that. It was like a snacking spree or eating spree. 😂**

# Snacks from CMY Kuih-muih
''Kuih-muih' means bite-sized light snack. It can be sweet dessert or crispy fried stuff or sweet cake. We drove back and saw this small shop at a corner of a coffee shop that was close. Mum always wanted to ensure we had moreee than enough food so she bought these for us. 

## Fried Milk with Cheese

Mum said this is like a rave in Sibu Town recently, a delicacy people learned from YouTube and more and more stalls selling this. Basically, it is like milk pudding-like or custard-like, which you feel like biting firm tofu but it was firm sweet milk inside. The inside was made from flour and condensed milk and etc, steamed to become a firm milk-tofulike. Then coated with flour then deep fried. It was topped with lots of cheese. Superrrrr delicious. I had not seen this at Kuala Lumpur. Not bad ya such a small town but with special food. I felt like eating it again. 

## Vegetables crisp

This is crisp vegetables fritter-like snack but more flatten and round in shape. Very tasty batter used and super crispy. Dipped into chilli sauce and every mouthful was so satisfying.

## Stir fry Internal Organs & Stir fry shrimps

This one is another popular dish at Sibu. I notice Sibu people like to eat pork liver. That's why my mum said pork liver is expensive here whereas at Kuala Lumpur, pork liver is so cheap and sometimes nobody wants it that the seller gave customers for free. Such a big difference. Anyway, this stir fry internal organs had intestines, pork stomach and few slices of pork liver because the shop ran out of pork liver. It was a delicious dish. Everything was so soft. And nicely stirred fry by using soy sauce as seasoning. My mum also packed stir fry shrimps with sambal. 

## Stuffed Kompia

Kompia is another Sibu delicacy, originated from the Fuzhou people, so some tourists called it Fuzhou bagels. Texture wise, it is similar to bagels, more firm type. Kompia is cooked by using hot brick oven. Eating them fresh from oven is the best. The ones my mum packed were stuffed kompia, meaning the kompia had some minced savoury pork blend in the center. Quite nice too. But I couldn't eat alot due to difficulty to bite it with my braces on. 

## Milk biscuits

My brother and mum came back from Sibu Central Market and bought for us Sibu milk biscuits. These are our super favourite. Myself and boys love it so much. I am not sure how it is made but the pastry on the outer layer is flaky crispy. And inside the sweet condensed milk paste is so yummy.

# Dinner at Ying Siang Corner
I got to go out for dinner too while husband stayed at home to take care of Jansen. I went out with my parents and my eldest son. These were what we ordered. We ate all the below with a plate of warm rice, our staple food. 

## Pork Ribs King

My father super loved 'pai kut ong' which is in Hokkien language. Pai kut = pork Ribs. Ong = king. Hence, pork ribs king. Pork ribs were deboned, deep fried then coated with sweet, sourish yet super savoury sauce. Drizzled with sesame seed. The pork ribs king here was the best. So so soft. I think they powerfully professionally tenderised the meat. So soft that even I with braces could easily bit them off. Delicious! 

## Stir fry tofu

These were their own homemade tofu. The tofu was being fried first. Then stir fry together with minced pork and vegetables soy sauce broth. The vegetables consisted of mushrooms, cabbage and carrots. 

## Soon Hock Fish

I googled to know what is this fish called in English. It is marble goby fish. In Malay language, it is 'ikan ketutu'. Not a cheap fish but definitely worth it. The flesh was so fresh and had its own natural sweetness due to it being freshwater fish. The texture of the meat was delicate and soft. Best way to cook this was the usual steaming and drizzled in some soy sauce. Very delicious on its own. 

*After our dinner, my mum packed some food for my husband from the three dishes we ordered above. My husband did not eat rice at home. Looking at the small pack of food, my mum felt it was not enough, so she fried three eggs for my husband to eat together with the food we packed. My mum is a hero, very thoughtful and caring. ❤️*

***I somehow knew that this holiday at Sibu hometown will be full of food apart from being able to spend time with parents. I got to remind my mum that our stomachs don't digest food like a flash. We need to stop eating in between. Haha. She just kept buying food for us and really well-fed us.
