# Hi steemians this is a pen portrait I recently drew of an old man and the process that went with it.

# General outline - start with large, quick strokes.

# Begin adding detail and shading through cross hatching

### I used a normal biro pen and it was done on A5 paper. You can see I did a general outline on this one before I added details to the face. I made the eyes the focal point by adding the most detail around them and less detail as I moved away from the face.

### Took me about 1- 1.5 hours to do.
