<div class="text-justify"> I had no idea of what the Newbie Initiative entailed before this time, I didn’t even know it existed until I got tagged to a comment by @hopestylist and I am pretty sure she doesn’t even remember any of this because it was just a random tag but hey! I am glad it happened.

At first, I did not want to apply but I thought about the effort she put into mentioning my name and I just registered without expecting any feedback from the organizers and the rest is history.

This is the last task for the Initiative and a new one will begin soon, so if you are a newbie out there I urge you to apply for the next batch.

**How have the tasks given been helpful?**

Do you think you have everything figured out on Hive? Wait till it blows you off balance with different areas that you never knew existed.

The materials shared during the training have been really helpful, it saves you the stress of searching for related topics on the platform over and again as they are all saved on your phone now.

Indeed it’s called a newbie initiative for a reason
I had so many “firsts” on this journey, first time using Threespeak, first time creating a design on Canva, first time attempting a blockchain game, first time using some cool markdown styles, and many more.

**MY ACHIEVEMENTS**

During the first task of the Initiative, we were asked to set SMART goals and I did, it's safe to say that I did reach 90% of the goals that I set for myself, I am glad that I was specific when I was setting my goals and intentional about it as well.

**What aspects of the Initiative do you believe we could enhance, and how?**

All newbies should be treated equally, no newbie should be given preferential treatment as it weakens the morale of the other newbies who don’t get the same treatment, root for every newbie equally because newbies leaving their comfort zones to do things they haven’t done before is no easy feat.

**What value do you think you can offer to the initiative?**

I know I really can't do much as we have so many instructors and team leaders constantly working behind the scene, making sure the program runs smoothly but one thing I am sure I can do is to spread the word around, reposting and advising people to join the initiative as that would help more newbies learn and explore the ecosystem.

This initiative has helped my journey on Hive so sharing my story with other newbies would help encourage them to join the initiative and after going through this program according to the initiative projection  **”Newbies will beat at least part of Hive's learning curve. They will be ready to grow as Hivers and become part of this thriving community”**.</div>
