I remained in my static, still place. My breathing was beginning to be more irregular than normal. I could feel her gaze follow me everywhere as if trying to find a flaw in me or something that told her that I was not a few meters away from her, that it was not real. I clenched my jaw hard and I refused to look at her, I was not going to look at her. If I looked at it, it was lost.

She is almost as perplexed as me and seems to have stopped breathing. His eyes scan me with neutrality and curiosity, he scowls at me and turns his gaze away again. Her friend shakes her carefully out of her trance and, bombarding her with questions beyond my ears. I dare to look at her and I only have eyes for her. I look at it as if it were the first time.

His honey eyes do not shine.

His voice is not sing-song.

His gaze transmits nothing.

Her skin pales when she realizes that I'm looking at her and my stomach contracts. I clench my fists hard, my knuckles turn white with rage but I ignore it completely. The people around me realize the sudden impulsive behavior and I'm just getting ready to leave.

I do not need this.

She does not need this.

Of course, imbecile! Scream my subconscious. Already in a very distant place, I take out the device from my back pocket that is vibrating urgently. I just read for a second:

Intact line, no changes are recorded.

I shake my head, in a gesture of frustration, I have work to do. But then everything that did not want to happen happens.

-Who are you? - His voice behind me sounds like an alarm to my whole body. I take a deep breath and turn around. His expression is the same and he appears to be normal and kind so as not to raise further suspicion.

-Oh, nobody important- I say very calmly. I applaud myself internally for my performance. I smile with false kindness. It seems that my heart has been replaced by a nuclear bomb that will explode in seconds. His right leg moves from top to bottom desperately, entering nervous tic.

-Insurance? I think I've seen you somewhere, or I know you, I do not know. - He says tremblingly. He swallows and looks at me for an answer.

I smile with innocence from inside.

Oh, the truth is, you have no idea.
